We are committed to ensuring that the refurbishment of 105 Judd Street is a sustainable project. It will be the first refurbished building within the Knowledge Quarter and will be a low carbon development.

One of the first purpose-built office buildings in London could now become one of the first in the Knowledge Quarter to be refurbished to accommodate Knowledge Quarter uses.

At the very heart of this project is our goal to retain and repurpose the existing 105 Judd Street building. These proposals seek to breathe new life into an 100-year-old building, to update it and ensure that it meets the needs of Knowledge Quarter users.

Demand for space by Knowledge Quarter users in the area is significant and we feel there is a real opportunity to deliver laboratory-enabled space, whilst retaining and enhancing the building.

By preserving, retaining and adapting 105 Judd Street rather than undertaking demolition, these proposals would be a first for the Knowledge Quarter area and a climate responsible way of delivering much-needed laboratory enabled space for Knowledge Quarter uses.

The proposals are capable exceeding RIBA 2030 carbon targets by 50% – through retaining of the existing fabric to ensure benefits in terms of embodied carbon and minimising local disruption during construction.
